IK BEN WEER EEN BLIJE GINGER

De meeste tijd in mijn tiener-jaren ging ik als (fake) ginger door het leven. Ik verfde mijn haar nogal vaak dus het wisselde wel eens van vuurtoren-rood naar peentjes oranje. Het afgelopen half jaar heb ik mijn haar bruin gehad (wel soms met groene/rode/paarse dipdye maar vooruit) en dat is denk ik een recordtijd voor het niet-ginger-zijn. Deze week verfde ik mijn haar in een opwelling, en nu ben ik weer een blije ginger.

Most of my teen-years I was a (fake) ginger. I dyed my hair a lot, so sometimes it was as orange as a carrot and sometimes it was red like a firetruck. The past half year my hair was brown (sometimes with green/purple/red dip dye but okay) and that's a record in not-being-ginger for me. But in a wave of enthousiasm, I dyed my hair again this week, and now I am a happy ginger again. :)

ARMCANDY

Elk jaar, als het weer zomer word, krijg ik een terugkerende armbandjes-tik. Veeeel armbandjes om een pols of juist subtiele armbandjes. Als je me op Instagram volgt had je misschien al gezien waar ik afgelopen week mee bezig was: Nieuwe armcandy maken voor mijn Etsy shop! Twee setjes zijn te koop voor 3,95 per setje. Je vind ze hier en hier! Yay!
Voorlopig alleen zwart en goud, maar een bestelling met materiaal is onderweg, dus binnenkort ook roze, geel, rood, groen en.. en.. en..

I STOLE A FLOWER FROM A BLOSSOM TREE

I stole a flower from a blossom tree, and put it in a vase.
Bloemen plukken mag niet. Ik weet niet meer wie dat ooit tegen me gezegd heeft, maar ik doe het nog steeds nooit. Het voelt alsof ik iets illegaals doe. Misschien ben ik bang dat mijn kleuterjuf ineens de hoek om komt en me op hete daad betrapt.
De boom waar ik elke dag langsfiets als ik naar mijn werk ga heeft dat alles veranderd. Nu staat er een bescheiden takje bloesem in een vaasje op mijn muurkastje en ik voel me zo rebels.I stole a flower from a blossom tree, and put it in a vase.
I never pick flowers, because when I was little I was told once you're supposed to let them grow and not pick them. I am still scared when I'm picking a wild flower because it feels like I'm doing something illegal. Maybe I'm still afraid my kindergarden teacher will be around the corner ready to catch me in the crime.
The blossom tree I pass by everyday when I'm going to work changed it all. Now there's this little blossom branch in a vase on my table and I feel like a rebel.- Anouck Plume

Sinds een paar dagen is onze studentenhuis-tuin enigsinds omgetoverd tot iets gezelligs. Ik moet me inhouden om niet helemaal door te draaien en een tuin te maken die vol met bloemen staat, mooie potjes en kleurrijke houten stoeltjes. Maar om toch even los te kunnen gaan richtte ik me maar tot pinterest! Ik droom van kleine schattige balkonnetjes, tuintjes en verandas.

Since a few days my studentdorm-garden is turned into an "kind-of-cozy" garden. I have to stop myself from going crazy with planting flowers everywhere, buying cute pots and colorfull wooden chairs. That will have to wait untill I find a place that's just for me alone! But to let my garden-tingles out I turned to pinterest. I dream of cute little balkonies, gardens and porches!

VIDEO DIARY - BUITENSPELEN

Afgelopen week ging ik picknicken, vliegeren en spelen in het speelbos. Ik voelde me weer even 10 jaar oud (valt het jullie ook op dat ik me dat de afgelopen tijd wel erg vaak voel? haha).

Last week I went for a picknick, I flew a kite and went to play in the forest. I felt like I was 10 again (Did you guys notice I feel like 10 years old a LOT lately? haha)

KINDERBOERDERIJ IN DE ZON

Sinds de zon schijnt ben ik buiten, veel buiten. Eindelijk komen de jurkjes en korte broekjes weer uit de kast en ik ben blij. Eergisteren ging ik naar de kinderboerderij. Eigenlijk ging ik met een vriendin wandelen in het bos, en toen was daar ineens een kinderboerderij.
Er was een konijn met overgewicht, een cavia met sterallures, een schaap wat demonische geluiden maakte en een stelletje van twee pauwen die heel verliefd leken.

Since the sun is shining again I am outside, a lot. Finally I get to wear shorts and dresses again, and I am happy. The day before yesterday I went to the petting zoo with a friend. I actually went for a walk in the forest, and all of the sudden there was a petting zoo. There was a fat bunny, a sheep that made demonic sounds and a couple of two peacocks who looked like they were in love.

Toen om 12 uur dat maandag-12-uur-test-luchtalarm afging ontstond er een soort van paniek-aanval bij alle dieren. Wat een beetje zielig was, maar stiekem ook wel grappig. De pauw loeide mee op het ritme van de sirene, kippen gingen spastisch op en neer rennen, de lama ging terug in zijn hok en de geiten wisten niet meer hoe ze het hadden.

Every first monday of the month at 12 o'clock we have a test alarm here in the Netherlands. The alam goes of in case of an emergency, to warn the people. When we were at the petting zoo the alarm went of (as a test, not as an emergency) and all the animals at the petting zoo kind of panicked, which was piteous for them but also secretly funny for us. The peacock screamed with the rhythm of the sirene, the chickens started running spastically around, the lama ran to his barn and the goats just went crazy.

Ik ging en beetje los met foto's maken van dieren, maar kijk nou hoe leuk (of lelijk) ze zijn! Al met al, ik hou van de kinderboerderij in de zon :)

I went a little crazy with making pictures of the animals, but look how cute they all are (or ugly)! Anyway, I love the petting zoo in the sun. :)
